and make your very own frog-and-bunny army,
protest march, or flash mob. Share them with your friends,
kids, neighbors, and favorite barista, just don't sell the
print-outs or finished monsters; that would be wrong.

The Sphinx is a mythical beast with the body of a lion
and the head of a human. The Greek Sphinx had wings and
was always female, while the Egyptian sphinx was male.
The Egyptian Sphinx (unlike the Greek Sphinx who devoured
anyone unable to answer her riddle)was a benevolent creature
often depicted in art as a temple guardian.

Handy tips for best results:
∗ Printing on photo-quality paper will give you the best image results, but you can also print it on regular cardstock and it will still be swell.
∗ Set your printer to the highest quality printing options.
∗ Depending on your printer's settings, you may need to scale the image before you print. Use the PRINT PREVIEW option to make sure the sides of the image aren't being cut off.
∗ The images are designed to be printed on letter size (8-1/2" x 11") paper. You can shrink the image down to fit another size using an image editing program like Photoshop. Pasting it into a word document will also work in a pinch.
∗ The folds are marked on the patterns and indicated on the paper you'll cut off, so keep the white "outside" part of the pattern until you're sure how to fold it. Some patterns require a cut or two. Those cuts will be marked as well.
∗ Using a sharp craft knife to cut out your pattern will give you best results, but a pair of pointy, sharp scissors will get the job done as well.
∗ We LOVE double stick tape for putting the paper monsters together!! Glue will work too, of course. Glue sticks are tidy and easy to use but will not create a particularly strong bond. If you're into impermanence, that might be OK with you.
∗ HAVE FUN!!!!
